"It made me giggle quite a lot, watching this movie. Da'Vine Joy Randolph -- put her in any movie you want, and we're going to be fine."

Tim Cogshell

"One ends up longing for a sniff of reality. But the three leads demonstrate absolute belief in romantic absolutes as we drift towards a class of sob-heavy denouement Hollywood now rarely attempts."

Donald Clarke

"The film is fantastical yet grounded in moving truths, warm and heart tugging and laugh-out-loud witty. You exit its world with a glow of satisfaction."

"Schematically, this is kind of the perfect rom-com, but the high-concept gets so needlessly convoluted."

"The film’s afterlife ideas are not particularly original and there is an inconsistency to the rules of the deceased that eventually gives way to a Clue-like climax that gives us every possible ending and rendering them all moot emotionally."

Erik Childress

"What kind of eternity would limit you in such a banal way? I really could not get past the cruelty of the premise. I found it so, so bleak, and the way they resolved it was unsatisfyingly conservative. The problems of this film were all in the script."

Seriously such a good movie!!! Loved the story, the humor, the heart touching moments. Makes one rethink death and the after life a bit in a more positive direction. Feel like this movie deserves much more buzz than what it’s gotten! Highly recommend!

A pretty straightforward movie. Completely predicatable and rather boring. Rather than being romantic, Milles Teller’s character is annoying to the point you don’t root for his character to win.

Exceptional movie! It was the first movie my fiancé and I watched after getting engaged and it couldn't have been a more perfect time.

Sooo beautiful! Criedddd!! It’s so well written and the acting and the aesthetic of the locations are very nostalgic and déjà vu. The whole idea of her having to choose which partner to be with for eternity , the one she lost or the one who she spend the rest of her life with! It makes more sense for her to choose the one who she grew with, laugh, cried, argue, annoyed, and the most happy moments. The struggles they both went through in life. It’s very romantic.
